Has Been Formed by Affiliation of Hospitals
The affiliation of Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center and The Pottsville Hospital and Warne Clinic has been completed following receipt of all necessary government approvals.
On August 1, 2008, Schuylkill Health System became the new parent organization for the hospitals and their affiliated entities.
- Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center is now known as Schuylkill Medical Center - East Norwegian Street
- The Pottsville Hospital and Warne Clinic has been renamed Schuylkill Medical Center - South Jackson Street
The affiliation of the two hospitals will permit healthcare in Schuylkill County to grow and evolve for many generations to come. We announce a new beginning for the future of healthcare in this area.

As an affiliated organization of the former Pottsville Hospital and Warne Clinic, Schuylkill Rehabilitation Center now falls under the new Schuylkill brand. The Schuylkill Rehabilitation Center website is currently being rebranded with the new Schuylkill Health System brand. Until the new website launches we will continue to update and manage our current website:
